Jennifer O'Neil, a physiotherapist and assistant professor at the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Ottawa, is dedicated to improving access to personalized physiotherapy treatments. Her research work, including her doctoral thesis, has focused on the development of intensive home-based telerehabilitation programs for individuals with moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries.

In addition to her academic role, she applies her expertise to serve the community by providing rehabilitation services to individuals with neurological disorders. She has played a key role in expanding telerehabilitation capabilities in Canada, including the establishment of a telehealth program to prevent falls in minority Francophone communities. She advocates for health equity and access to rehabilitation services globally, utilizing person-centered mixed-method approaches.
